I. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance by Ed Chirco, Chair
Welcome and Introductions - Announcements.
Reminder the Council follows the Roberts Rules of Order. All comments, suggestions, motions, are directed to the chair. All members of the audience interact with the chair and must address other audience members through the chair. Audience members must raise their hand and ask the chair for permission to speak.**
Announcement 1:
The meeting agenda has been reordered to be in agreement with the bylaws. Starting at this meeting Old Business will precede New Business
Announcement 2:
Pursuant to the Cambrian Community Council bylaws elections for Chairman and Vice-Chairman will be held at the close of Old Business prior to the introduction of any New Business. The election shall be by secret ballot of the sitting board members.
Announcement 3:
The Cambrian Community Council has changed their email list to MailChimp. A link to sign up on the new email list can be found on the CCC web page under the Get Involved menu item. If you were on the old list your name has been moved to the new list.

Appendix A
Bylaws excerpts pertaining to election of Chairman and Vice Chairman
Bylaws Article III paragraph A
Elections shall be made by majority vote and the elections of Council Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson shall be held at the conclusion of old business during the regular meeting in December or following the declaration of a vacancy.
Bylaws Article III paragraph G
At the December Council meeting following the election of Council Members, the seated Council Members shall, by nominations made by the Seated Council and by the casting of secret ballots, elect a Chairperson and a Vice-Chairperson from members of the currently seated Council. The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson elected shall take office at the January meeting.
Appendix B
Motion to establish a Standing Committee to Explore Ways to Improve Community Engagement.
A motion is made to create a permanent standing committee whose purpose is to explore means and methods to increase community engagement with and by the Cambrian Community Council. The Cambrian Community Council member assigned to chair the committee should the motion pass is Cole Cameron.
Appendix C
A motion to move the "Comments for the good of Cambrian" after New Business and to move "Council Member & Committee Reports" before Unfinished Business on the monthly public meeting agenda.
A motion to change Article IV paragraph J of the Bylaws to read as follows:

The business at all meetings of the Cambrian Community Council shall include the following:
  1. Call to order and salute to the American Flag
  2. Roll call and introductions
  3. Approval of Minutes
  4. City and/or County updates not on the Agenda
  5. Council Member & Committee Reports
  6. Unfinished Business
  7. New Business
  8. Comments for the Good of Cambrian not on the Agenda
  9. Future Agenda Items
  10. Adjournment
The Cambrian Community Council is governed by its own bylaws which specify Robert's Rules of Order as the guide and formal reference for its own bylaws. This change is requested to the Cambrian Community Council bylaws to enable the public to be better informed during the public comment period, to be consistent with the order of meetings as specified by the Roberts Rules of Order, and also to be consistent with current common practice in public meetings in the United States.

Robert's Rules of Order suggests the following order for public meetings:
  1. Reading and Approval of Minutes
  2. Reports of Officers, Boards, and Standing Committees
  3. Reports of Special (Select or Ad Hoc) Committees
  4. Special Orders
  5. Unfinished Business
  6. New Business
